A wonderful rescue organization, Critter Cavalry, rescued Pearl from desperation. She was one of the Gassaway animals rescued in Lebanon with over 100 other dogs. Once rescued, Pearl tested positive for heartworms and although her treatment was successful, there had been too much damage for too long. Pearl is greatly missed by Critter Cavalry, her foster parents and us as well. She was as sweet as she could be especially considering her hardships.
